An overlooked gem
This was written by the same folks who wrote "American Graffiti" and "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom." It's a European art-horror film made by Americans in southern California. The influence of H.P. Lovecraft is evident, as is the influence of "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari."
I accidently found this movie when looking up another similar (and highly recommended) "Silent Night, Bloody Night" also available here.
I get a little nostagic for drive-ins, late-night UHF horror watching these.

waiter, waiter!
Well, not much has changed in Point Dume (Malibu) since this movie was made. The service is still lousy, zombies eating raw meat and anyone who happens by, and the plot never thickens...
Except for one thing, the prices have gone up! Don't try to get your money back after watching this movie, they'll ignore you.
